Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. That provider processes the input and returns its own results. We do not maintain a separate log of the terms entered through those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If an email is sent to us, we retain the message to respond. We do not disclose it outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our systems may receive technical information about the visit:
- Device IP address
- Browser and browser version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, where available
- Page-view timestamps
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They help measure aggregate traffic and page use. Browser controls can block cookies, though some parts of the service may work differently. Analytics providers receive aggregate activity under their own practices.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and message data is used to operate and improve the resource.
- Maintain availability and performance
- Send a search request to the selected provider
- Measure useful pages and general traffic patterns
- Diagnose and correct technical problems
- Support advertising that may be interest based
No Court-Record Data on File
Rio Arriba County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general routing information for records held by the Clerk of the First Judicial District Court, lower courts, and New Mexico Case Lookup. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes are operated by other companies. Information entered into a partner tool is governed by that partner's privacy policy and retention practices, not this policy. Review the applicable policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links to court, clerk, case-search, legal-aid, and outside search resources leave this site. The destination's privacy practices apply after the link is opened. Advertising providers may perform their own cross-site activity measurement on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be received by the following categories of recipients:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics vendors measuring performance and traffic
- Advertising networks serving pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected information. No online system can guarantee complete security, so a breach-free service cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that such information was submitted, it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12, including §14-2-8, describes public-record access and request mechanics; it does not make private visitor data a court record. Court-file access is separately governed by Rule 1-079 NMRA. Depending on applicable law, visitors may ask for information held about them, seek correction, request deletion, or opt out of certain processing.
- Request a copy of data held about you
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Request deletion where applicable
- Opt out of qualifying processing

We may revise this policy. A revised version becomes effective when posted here. Review this page periodically for changes.
